Are you a self-proclaimed thrill-seeker? Texas Innovators may have the perfect innovative event for you this spooky season.
A new haunted attraction is coming to San Antonio and is capitalizing on U.S. consumerism by bringing the event to your local shopping mall!
According to SA Current, Haunted Oaks, a haunted house maze said to encompass 6,000 square feet, is set to debut Friday, October 1 at Rolling Oaks Mall.
Movies such as 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Chopping Mall' prove that shopping centers provide the perfect place to excite and fright during the Halloween season.
“This is going to be a wild ride for haunted house and horror fans. We’ve put a ton of work into Haunted Oaks, and the actors we have are top-rated performers," Haunted Oaks Artistic Director Joseph Devine said in a statement. "We are super excited to share this experience with San Antonio.”
Typical Halloween outings such as attended local haunted houses or staying indoors to watch classic horror films can sometimes seem repetitive. Therefore, events like these provide a new way to celebrate the spooky season.
The haunted maze will feature “gruesome rooms, haunted hallways, creepy corridors” and other thrilling surprises for attendees ages 12 and up.
Tickets for Haunted Oaks can be purchases online for $20 or at the door for $25. Doors will open at 6 p.m. As per the ongoing pandemic, face masks will be required for all attendees.
Haunted Oaks at Rolling Oaks Mall is located at 6909 North Loop 1604 East Suite 1128.
