What
This Friday at 6 PM, Teach For America (TFA) Houston is celebrating 30 years of work in the seventh-largest school district in the nation.
For the past 30 years, Teach For America has brought talented and motivated leaders to teach in under-resourced schools in Houston ISD. Many of those leaders have led some of the city's most significant education initiatives.
Teach For America corps members and alumni:

- Teach in over 600 classrooms;
- Have founded/led more than 20 local education non-profits (including BridgeYear, DiscoverU, EMERGE, Families Empowered, Good Reason Houston, Latinos for Education, OneGoal, and ProUnitas)
- Lead three districts as superintendents (KIPP Houston, YES Prep, and Yellowstone Academy)
- Are school leaders in over 40 public schools (including +50% of KIPP and YES Prep)
Bring the family out for fun and celebration at the Rice University Stadium.
Tickets start at $200 for general admission and come with one complimentary child ticket. If you are bringing the whole clan, you can purchase two GA tickets at a discount for $350 with two complimentary child tickets. Additional tickets for children are $20.
General Admission includes a live premiere of TFA Houston’s 30th feature film, family-friendly attractions, an after-party with DJ Mister Rogers, unlimited food and drinks, an open bar, a 30th Anniversary Commemorative Gift Box, and so much more!
