Topgolf Entertainment Group recently announced its plans to expand its entertainment offerings to South America, starting with Bogota, Columbia. The decision comes after the company came into an agreement with TG Latam (TGLA).

According to Tyler Morning Telegraph, Topgolf openly welcomed the proposed partnership and found it to be the perfect way to expand its locations around the world. TGLA offers an abundance of knowledge on gold, technology, and most importantly entertainment. All three of these categories align perfectly with Topgolf’s strategies and make the perfect duo.

Steve Lane, vice president of international strategy and franchise management at Topgolf said “This exciting partnership with TGLA is another major step forward for Topgolf's global expansion strategy. "We are looking forward to working with TGLA to bring our signature fun and innovative Topgolf experience to communities across South America."

The new location in Columbia will encompass multiple stories and will feature 102 outdoor hitting bays featuring climate-controlled technology, perfect for those wanting to enjoy the space in the summer heat.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Topgolf as we start on our journey to introduce this iconic entertainment experience," Freddy Alcantara from TGLA said. "Topgolf is an ideal concept to bring to the communities of South America, and we can't wait to welcome the people of Bogotá to TGLA's first Topgolf venue."

In keeping with Topgolf’s plans to open venues across the globe, the company has expressed its hopes to open franchises in countries like Asia and Central Europe as well. Topgolf holds strong to its mission of making its entertainment inclusive and unique and wants everyone to experience a bit of what they have to offer.

The entertainment company has quickly made a name for itself over the years and has become a fan favorite in the simulated golf industry. It debuted its first location in Katy, Texas in 2012 when it created a 102-bay entertainment-focused venue.

In 2017, the company opened its first Swing Suite in Four Seasons hotel in Houston. Currently, there are a total of 12 locations in Texas alone, proving that the lone-star state offers loyal customers who are ready to show off their golfing skills and have fun while doing it.

Topgolf has not released a timeline for when these proposed locations will begin development. However, visit Topgolf’s website to stay up to date on the latest information and to see if there’s a location near you!
