Toyota Launches Collision Assistance Mobile App for Toyota and Lexus Drivers

Texas-based Toyota Motor North America has announced a new assistance service available to Toyota and Lexus drivers to assist them following a collision. Collision Assistance is available to drivers within the Toyota and Lexus mobile app and features guided instructions to help drivers navigate the post-collision repair process.


The support service feature was developed with the assistance of CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc., touted as a leading SaaS platform within the multi-trillion-dollar P&C insurance sector. The mobile technology combines guided accident documentation and access to claims and management services to assist drivers post-collision.


Collision Assistance offers customers greater control for handling their claim and repair processes and affords convenience and safety while ensuring consumers are informed throughout the repair experience through completion. The new mobile collision assistance service aligns with the company’s vision for promoting innovation.

By incorporating Collision Assistance into our app, we can offer help when it is needed,“ Steve Basra, Toyota North America, Connected Technologies group vice president said in a press release. “We aim to deliver innovative features to our drivers. With Collision Assistance, we’re offering additional safety and peace of mind.”


Collision Assistance is available to Toyota and Lexus owners with an active subscription or are within the trial period of select 2018 model year or newer Toyota and Lexus vehicles, and is an extension of the Safety Connect suite of features. The innovative app facilitates the process of gathering data and insurance claim management through collision repair and helps drivers save time amid an otherwise tedious process.
