Virtual Healthcare on the Rise

The Houston company, 2nd.MD, has plans to be acquired by the Seattle-based company, Accolade for $460 million. 2nd.MD software uses video or phone to give patients expert medical advice. Accolade will add 2nd.MD to its platform allowing users a "way to get another opinion when facing high-cost and complex medical decisions."

The pandemic has motivated healthcare to go virtual as patients can't always get into a physical doctor's office. And some studies show that a second opinion can give a completely new diagnosis to patients.
